Basil Pork Recipe

- 1 lb ground pork
- 3 tablespoons dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon bird's eye chili minced
- 1 teaspoon granulated white sugar
- 1 cup Thai basil leaves removed from stems
- 1/2 cup bell pepper sliced
- 2 1/2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
Instructions

- Heat the cooking oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the garlic and chili. Stir and cook until the garlic turns medium brown, about 30 seconds.
- Add the ground pork. Stir-fry for 2 to 5 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula, until the pork turns light brown and is mostly cooked through.
- Pour in the soy sauce and fish sauce. Continue to stir-fry for 1 minute to coat the pork evenly.
- Add the sugar, Thai basil, and bell peppers. Stir-fry for 3 to 6 minutes until the basil is wilted and the peppers are tender-crisp.
- Arrange on plates with steamed rice and top with a fried egg.
- Serve hot. Share and enjoy!
