Measured from the catalog payload.

  • 4 slice whole grain bread
  • 6 teaspoons butter softened
  • 2 slice swiss cheese

Instructions

7 cooking steps

  1. Heat a grill pan or non-stick skillet over medium-low heat.
  2. Spread butter evenly on one side of each bread slice. Place one slice buttered-side down in the skillet.
  3. Place Swiss cheese slices evenly over the bread in the pan.
  4. Top with the remaining bread slice, buttered-side up.
  5. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Flip carefully with a spatula and cook until the other side is crispy and the cheese is fully melted.

Recipe notes

  • Cook over medium-low heat to prevent the bread from burning while allowing the cheese to melt completely
  • If the cheese is not melting, cover the pan briefly for 30 seconds to trap heat
  • For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of garlic powder to the butter before spreading

Storage notes

  • Best served immediately while hot and crispy
  • Not recommended for storage as the bread will become soggy upon cooling
