  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper chopped

  • 15 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 piece onion
  • 4 cloves garlic chopped
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cups cheddar cheese shredded

Instructions

8 cooking steps

  1. Prepare the macaroni by cooking according to package instructions. Drain the liquid and set the macaroni aside.
  2. Make the meat sauce. Heat oil in a pan. Sauté onion and garlic. Once onion softens, sauté ground beef and ground pork until it browns. Add hotdog and bell peppers. Cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add Knorr Beef cube. Stir and then pour tomato sauce and water. Cover the pot and boil for 20 to 25 minutes using low to medium heat. Note: add more water if needed. Season with sugar, salt, and ground black pepper. Set aside.
  4. Make the white sauce by melting butter in a saucepan. Add all-purpose flour. Stir and cook for 1 minute. Gradually pour milk while stirring. Add half of the cheese. Stir and continue cooking until the sauce thickens.
  5. Combine macaroni and meat sauce in a bowl. Add the remaining cheese. Toss.
  6. Preheat oven to 350F. Transfer the macaroni with meat sauce in a baking pan. Pour white sauce on top and then spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
  8. Serve. Share and enjoy!
