  • 4 pieces pork chop
  • 5 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 pieces onion sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated white sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • salt
  • ground black pepper

  1. Combine pork chops, soy sauce, and lime juice in a large bowl or resealable bag. Marinate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Heat a pan and pour in cooking oil.
  3. Pan fry the marinated pork chops over medium heat for 3 minutes per side. Remove the pork chops and set aside.
  4. Using the remaining oil, sauté the garlic until it starts to brown.
  5. Add half of the onions. Sauté until the onion softens.
  6. Pour in the remaining marinade and water. Add back the pork chops and simmer for 45 minutes or until the pork is tender. Add water as needed.
  7. Add the sugar, salt, and pepper, then stir.
  8. Put in the remaining onions and cook for 3 minutes more.
  9. Turn off heat and transfer to a serving plate.
